오토GPT란 무엇인가요? (What is AutoGPT?) (빙 인터뷰)

최근 트위터를 뜨겁게 달구고 있는 인공지능 주제가 있습니다. 오토GPT(AutoGPT)라는 실험적 프로젝트인데 오픈AI의 GPT-4를 활용하여 원하는 목표를 달성하는 과정을 거의 자동으로 달성하게 만드는 획기적인 기능을 보여주고 있습니다. 챗GPT도 혁신적이었지만 원하는 결과를 얻기 위해서는 사람이 일일이 프롬프트를 입력하고 수정해가는 지루한 과정이 필요했습니다.

 

오토GPT는 목표를 입력하면, 목표를 달성할 때까지 AI 스스로 프롬프트를 생성하고 수정해가며 인간의 개입없이 결과물을 산출해낼 수 있는 것 처럼 보여 혹자들은 초기단계의 인공일반지능(AGI)가 등장했다고 환호하기도 합니다.

 

그래서, 저도 뉴빙에게 오토GPT가 뭔지 한 번 물어보았습니다. 아래 인터뷰를 같이 한 번 보시죠.

나: 안녕하세요! AutoGPT가 무엇인지 말씀해 주시겠습니까?

빙: 당연하죠! AutoGPT는 GPT-4 언어 모델의 기능을 보여주는 실험적인 오픈 소스 애플리케이션입니다. GPT-4에 의해 구동되는 이 프로그램은 LLM의 "생각"을 함께 연결하여 설정한 목표를 자동으로 달성합니다. 완전히 자율적으로 실행되는 GPT-4의 첫 번째 사례 중 하나인 AutoGPT는 AI의 가능성의 경계를 확장합니다.

나: 정말 멋지네요! AutoGPT는 어떻게 작동합니까?

빙: AutoGPT를 사용하려면 먼저 앱에서 AI 에이전트를 생성하고 역할에 대한 설명을 제공한 다음, 이행해야 하는 5가지 목표를 제시합니다. 이 작업을 수행하는 동안 Google API 키와 함께 OpenAI API 키도 제공해야 합니다. 이 작업이 완료되면 이 도구는 반복적인 방식으로 작업을 실행할 수 있습니다. 여기에는 GPT-4 결과물을 가져와 AI 모델에 다시 넣어 그 결과를 개선하는 것이 포함됩니다.

빙: 사용자는 GPT-4 및 기타 AI 모델이 "환각(hallucinating)"이라는 오류를 종종 범한다는 점과, 상상의 데이터를 생성해 작업할 수도 있다는 점을 알고 있어야 합니다. 따라서 모든 결과를 100% 신뢰할 수는 없습니다. 또한 연구원들은 이제 인공 일반 지능(AGI)을 목표로 하고 있는데 AGI가 등장한다는 말은 AI 시스템이 특별히 훈련받지 않은 문제들을 해결할 수 있으며 이러한 순간부터 AI에 대해 우리가 적절한 안전 장치를 갖추어야 한다는 점을 뜻합니다. 

나: 누구나 AutoGPT를 사용할 수 있습니까? 아니면 특별한 기술이나 지식이 필요합니까?

빙: OpenAI API 키와 Google API 키에 액세스할 수 있는 한 누구나 AutoGPT를 사용할 수 있습니다. 이 앱은 사용자 친화적이고 사용하기 쉽게 설계되었습니다.

나: AutoGPT는 다른 AI 도구와 어떻게 다른가요?

빙: AutoGPT는 목표를 자율적으로 달성하기 위해 LLM "생각"을 함께 연결하는 능력이 독특합니다. 완전히 자율적으로 실행되는 GPT-4의 첫 번째 예 중 하나이며 다른 AI 도구와 차별화됩니다.

Welcome to our interview with an IT expert on the topic of AutoGPT, an exciting new tool that is pushing the boundaries of what is possible with AI. In this interview, we’ll be discussing what AutoGPT is, how it works, its potential applications, and any limitations or concerns users should be aware of. So sit back, relax, and get ready to learn all about this cutting-edge technology!

 

I: Hey there! Can you tell us what AutoGPT is all about?

Being: Sure thing! AutoGPT is an experimental open-source application that showcases the capabilities of the GPT-4 language model. This program, driven by GPT-4, chains together LLM “thoughts” to autonomously achieve whatever goal you set. As one of the first examples of GPT-4 running fully autonomously, AutoGPT pushes the boundaries of what is possible with AI.

I: That sounds really cool! How does AutoGPT work?

Being: To use AutoGPT, you need to first create an AI agent on the app, give it a description of its role, and then lay out five goals that it needs to fulfill. While doing this, you also need to provide it an OpenAI API key along with a Google API key. Once this is done, the tool can simply run tasks in an iterative manner which would include taking a GPT-4 output and putting it back into the AI model to make improvements to the results.

I: What are some potential applications of AutoGPT?

Being: The applications of such a tool are numerous. Some have taken it to the extreme and suggested that AI can be put to work and used to earn money. While that might be a bit of a stretch at the moment, it hasn’t stopped people from trying to build agents with such intentions.

I: Are there any limitations or concerns with using AutoGPT?

Being: Users should be aware that GPT-4 and other AI models have a habit of “hallucinating” and can create some fictional data based on tasks. So, not all results can be trusted 100 percent. Additionally, researchers are now aiming for artificial general intelligence (AGI), where an AI system can solve problems that it is not specifically trained for and that is something we really need to have safeguards on from the moment go.

I: Can anyone use AutoGPT or do you need special skills or knowledge?

Being: Anyone can use AutoGPT as long as they have access to an OpenAI API key and a Google API key. The app is designed to be user-friendly and easy to use.

I: How does AutoGPT compare to other AI tools out there?

Being: AutoGPT is unique in its ability to chain together LLM “thoughts” to autonomously achieve goals. It’s one of the first examples of GPT-4 running fully autonomously, which sets it apart from other AI tools.

I: That’s really interesting! Is there anything else we should know about AutoGPT?

Being: Just that it’s an exciting new tool that has the potential to change the way we interact with AI. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re interested in exploring the capabilities of GPT-4!
